Project Overview: Lighting Design for Industrial Warehouse and Office Space
The lighting design for this combined warehouse and office space was developed with a clear focus on clarity, efficiency, and spatial functionality. Divided into two distinct zones — storage and work areas — the lighting approach was tailored to meet the specific needs of each function, ensuring a well-balanced and visually coherent environment.
In the storage area, where precision and visibility are paramount, recessed ceiling spotlights were used to provide strong, uniform illumination across the dark gray shelving units. The blue-grey floor and pale walls helped reflect light evenly, reducing visual strain and enhancing safety. These luminaires were carefully placed to minimize shadowing between shelves and maintain consistent brightness, allowing for easy navigation and inventory management.
Focusing on medium to large-scale commercial construction projects, we work with both investors and developers to create landmarks that make an impact.
The office and meeting zones, though smaller, demanded a different lighting strategy focused on concentration and comfort. In the meeting room, the lighting mirrors that of the warehouse for visual consistency, but is calibrated to eliminate glare on the white table and black chairs — promoting a focused yet professional atmosphere. The office space, with three individual workstations, is illuminated with a functional yet soft lighting scheme that avoids harsh contrasts. Cool white tones were chosen to support alertness during working hours, while desk-level lighting ensures optimal visibility for screen-based tasks.
Throughout the design, the use of neutral wall tones and minimalist finishes was complemented by a lighting scheme that prioritizes function over ambiance — resulting in a clean, efficient workspace where every area is effectively lit for its intended use.
